The tradition of head sways can be traced across different cults and religions. It is present in the Israelite and Muslim religions, as well as the Sufi tradition, the daily practices of the “Sannyasin” in India (a wandering beggar and ascetic living a life of renunciation). In Asia, it can be found in the Shinto religion (Japan), in China, in Taoist practices, and Chinese popular traditions. In Egypt, archaeologists have discovered wall frescoes in tombs dating back to the time of Akhenaton (Amenhotep IV, 14th century BC) depicting dancers practicing ritual sways. The modern Catholic religion is the only one that has abandoned this practice.
In addition to the universal practice of head sways, there is another common element in all religious rites and mystical quests: the focus on sources of light.
For example, Zoroastrians use fire, Tibetans use a flame, and worship of the sun and moon is prevalent. African mystics use the reflection of the sun on water, and Nostradamus used the moon’s reflection on a silver tray to induce clairvoyant phenomena. The initiation rites of the Mysteries of Eleusis, attended by great men of Ancient Greece, involved focusing on a torch and visualizing an ear of wheat with closed eyes. In the Catholic religion, a candle is lit for prayer, while in Orthodox worship, the priest sways while praying and focusing on a candle.
Clairvoyants also employ this rudimentary and instinctive practice by placing a candle near a crystal ball, obtaining a Phosphene through the reflection of light, with the ball acting as a magnifying glass. The polarization of reflected light explains the origin of flashes of clairvoyance. “Magical mirrors” are not magical per se; their reflective capacity is what matters. Numerous examples show that Phosphenes significantly contributed to the individual development of humankind through the study of texts, religions, cults, and traditions.
It appears that those who recognized the importance of Phosphenes in individual development attempted to keep it a secret. The contents of the Mysteries of Eleusis, for instance, were forbidden to be disclosed under penalty of death. Taoists faced persecution by warlords who wished to suppress their knowledge. Additionally, some writers claim that Christ was sentenced to death for revealing secrets related to ancient Phosphenes’ science.
However, scientific study of Phosphenes did not occur until Dr. LEFEBURE, due to what he calls the “feeling of obviousness.” The Phosphene appeared as an unquestioned phenomenon towards which people did not inquire.
EXAMPLE:
LATERAL HEAD SWAY:
Intuition. Strengthening of the personality to reduce susceptibility to stress.
VERTICAL HEAD SWAY:
Dreaming in color and ascension. Awakening in sleep, directed dream, extension of consciousness. Facilitates what some have called the “Paradise Lost,” i.e., the night world. Mental and astral doubling. Astral travel.
ANTERO-POSTERIOR HEAD SWAY:
Transformation of reverie into concrete action. Encourages action. Development of intellectual faculties. Encourages the study of true sciences.
FIGURE-of-8 HEAD SWAY:
Enhances strength of character and provides clairvoyance on life’s path. Prophetic visions. Premonition, useful for everyday life.
HALF-CIRCLE HEAD SWAY (or Horseshoe Head Sway):
Facilitates dreaming, during which you receive advice for personal evolution. Initiatory dreams involve receiving advice on exercises for rapid inner development.
ROTATIONAL HEAD SWAY:
Development of magnetism. Development of magnetic force. Awareness and awakening of the chakras.
UNDERSTANDING THE PRACTICE
Important: These technical instructions, presented in the form of animations, serve as a practical guide and are most effective when followed as part of a training course.
Special Head Sways
ANALYSIS OF THE LATERAL HEAD SWAYS
TECHNICAL SHEET #1: Lateral Head Sways
General Information:
Lateral, vertical, antero-posterior, figure-of-8 sways, and rotations consist of 3 phases.
The 1st and 3rd phases are for building momentum, providing ample amplitude for inducing rhythmic thinking.
The optimal rhythm for Phosphene amplitude in sways is two seconds, at an inclination of approximately 45° to the vertical axis.
The term “mantra” etymologically means mental sound. It involves sounds (a series of syllables pronounced mentally or aloud) without specific meaning, allowing continuous, regular repetition. Rhythmic regularity enhances energy accumulation in thoughts.
To maintain rhythm, use the e-Mantratron.
Half-circle head sways are practiced with a 3-second rhythm, moving one way and then back in one continuous motion.
After producing a Phosphene, sway your head rhythmically and say the mantra, pronouncing a vowel each time your head reaches an end.
All exercises benefit more when accompanied by visualized thoughts:
- Geometrical figures provide access to abstract thought planes.
- The plant kingdom grants access to the etheric plane.
- Focusing points provide access to higher consciousness planes.
LATERAL HEAD SWAY + Mantra EELLEE (pronounce “ee” at each end, oscillating the focusing point on a horizontal axis).
= Intuition. Telepathy. Strengthening of personality to resist stress.
AFTER DOING A PHOSPHENE: 1st way to practice
1st phase:
Movement at a 45° angle with a 2-second rhythm (1 second on each side).
Duration: 1 minute.
Note: The focusing point moves from one side to the other.
2nd step:
Very small head movements, focusing on the brain’s displacement sensation into the cranium (maintaining the 2-second rhythm).
Duration: 1 minute.
3rd phase:
Repeat the first phase.
AFTER DOING A PHOSPHENE: 2nd way to practice.
1st phase:
Movement at a 45° angle with a 2-second rhythm (1 second on each side).
Duration: 1 minute.
Note: The focusing point moves from one temple to the other.
2nd step:
Very small head movements, focusing on the brain’s displacement sensation into the cranium (maintaining the 2-second rhythm).
Duration: 1 minute.
3rd phase:
Repeat the first phase.
ALL OTHER HEAD SWAYS ARE PRACTICED SIMILARLY.
Only the head movement varies.
Note: If you have degenerative osteoarthritis of the neck, start sways from the pelvic region. Some traditions initiate sways from the hips to keep cervical vertebrae aligned with the vertebral column’s top.
OTHER HEAD SWAYS
(Vertical & Antero-posterior)
TECHNICAL SHEET #2 & 3: Vertical Head Sways & Antero-Posterior Head Sways
VERTICAL Head Sways
(oscillations from down to up of the focusing point)
+ Mantra ALLA
= Consciousness extensions like sleep awakening, lucid dreams, or directed dreams.
ALL THE HEAD SWAYS ARE PRACTICED SIMILARLY TO LATERAL HEAD SWAYS, I.E., IN 3 STEPS WITH PHOSPHENE AND FOCUSING POINT.
Only the head movement changes.
With one exception: the half-circle head sways (or horseshoe head sways).
ANTERO-POSTERIOR Head Sways
(oscillations from back to front of the focusing point)
+ Mantra ELLU
= Daydreams translation into concrete actions.
OTHER HEAD SWAYS
(Figure-of-8)
WORKSHEET #4: Figure-of-8 Head Sways or Infinity’s Movement
Warning: ALL THE HEAD SWAYS ARE PRACTICED SIMILARLY TO LATERAL HEAD SWAY, I.E., IN 3 STEPS WITH A PHOSPHENE AND A POINT OF CONCENTRATION.
Only the head movement changes.
With one exception: the Half-Circle Head Sways (or Horseshoe Head Sways).
Figure-of-8 head sways, mantra EELLEE.
Combination of a lateral head sway and two symmetrical movements of rotation. Allows one to acquire greater strength of character, better anchorage in life, and improved centering. Enables obtaining clear-sightedness about one’s life path.
1st phase:
Ample head movements.
Duration: 1 minute.
2nd phase:
Very small head movements.
Duration: 1 minute.
3rd phase:
Repeat the first phase.
Duration: 1 minute.
Then, restart, ensuring the concentration point remains within the head during figure-of-8 sways.
Note: On each click, the concentration point passes through the loop’s center.
Exercise example, to be done once or twice a year: Panoramic recall of your past, progressing from one event to the next. Retain events related to your evolution. For right-handed individuals, conduct this retrospective on the left side. While practicing figure-of-8 sways, let memories come back, envisioning them on the left side. After recalling memories, focus on your current life situation and future goals, envisioning them on the right side.
The first phase is not regression or psychoanalysis. An initiatory approach aims for evolution, recognizing that speaking about a problem creates it. Overemphasis on the past is retrogressive, anchoring problems in electron memory. “EVERYTHING IN THE MIND WILL ONE DAY BE MANIFESTED IN MATTER,” (Dr. LEFEBURE). Meditating on desired states “programs” the future, potentially influencing reincarnation conditions.
OTHER HEAD SWAYS
(Rotation)
WORKSHEET #5: Head Sways in Rotation
Warning: ALL THE HEAD SWAYS ARE PRACTICED SIMILARLY TO LATERAL HEAD SWAY, I.E., IN 3 STEPS WITH PHOSPHENE AND FOCUSING POINT.
Only the head movement changes.
With one exception: the Half-Circle Head Sways (or Horseshoe Head Sways).
Head Sways in Rotation, mantra OLLO (or LO for clockwise sessions and OL for counterclockwise sessions).
= Development of magnetic power. Awareness and awakening of the chakras.
AFTER DOING A PHOSPHENE: 1st way to practice (horizontal plane).
1st phase:
The focusing point traces circles above the head.
Duration: 1 minute.
2nd phase:
The focusing point traces smaller circles above the head.
Duration: 1 minute.
3rd phase:
Repeat the first phase.
Duration: 1 minute.
AFTER DOING A PHOSPHENE: 2nd way to practice (vertical plane).
1st phase:
The focusing point traces circles in front of the head.
Duration: 1 minute.
2nd phase:
The focusing point traces smaller circles in front of the head.
Duration: 1 minute.
3rd phase:
Repeat the first phase.
Duration: 1 minute.
OTHER HEAD SWAYS
(Half-Circle)
WORKSHEET #6: Half-Circle Head Sways or Christ’s head sways or horseshoe head sways
HALF-CIRCLE Head Sways, mantra EHLLEH
Also known as Christ’s head sways because the head position on the cross, not a natural position for a deceased person, represents the correct initiatic exercise.
= Initiatic Dreams (dreams offering advice on exercises for rapid inner development).
Allows contact with spiritual guides and travel in the akashic records (subconscious).
These head sways have a 3-second rhythm per side and comprise only one phase.
After each Phosphene, allow yourself to be guided by cenesthetic sensations for 3 to 5 minutes.
Combines swaying and torsion oscillation.
This way of practicing sways is the deepest, most natural, and highly traditional, representing the primal movement of life.
It mimics the sperm cell’s movement, showing head oscillation from right to left and a twisting movement around its axis, combined with a sinusoidal movement of the body and flagellum. This combination of oscillations, twisting, and sinusoidal movements is common in biology.
For example, walking along a wall projects hip movement onto the wall, creating a sinusoid.
Additionally, there is an obvious torsional oscillation because one hip alternately moves forward and backward.
Applying this fundamental biological combination to head movements (lateral head sways), twisting oscillation occurs with the head axis remaining vertical, the chin moving right and left. Combining the two, the head lies against the collarbone on either side. Equality between flexion and torsion is essential.
This movement is most enjoyable at the basic rhythm of two seconds, translating to a four or three-second rhythm.
Use one of these durations to establish neurological pathways for experiences. These movements are the easiest, corresponding to life’s original movement, making it easier to sustain rhythmic thought activity, be it a mantra or concentration point swaying.
Stopping head movement allows thought continuation with great ease. In ancient paintings of Christ, the head is tilted to one side against the collarbone, half-flexed, and half-torsioned. This movement was depicted more to the right, suggesting Christ looked westward as he died.
In more recent paintings, the tilt can be to the left. Surgeons deemed this an abnormal position for a crucified corpse, leading to representations with the head tilting forward.
Medieval artists depicted Christ with a tilted head and torsional movement because at that time, the mystic value of this movement was recognized. Until the end of the Middle Ages, churches practiced gyrations and head/body swaying exercises. Coptic Christians still sway as they pray.
The head position in paintings and cathedral architecture indicates the importance of this head movement in spiritual development.
